Lake of the Hanging Glacier Back Packing Tour 1998
August 15 - 16
Another fine sunny weekend for us to play outdoors! We arrived in Radium the previous Friday evening. Some of us camped at Lake Enid and the rest overnighted at the Stockton Creek Forestry campsite.
The hike in was straightforward and uneventful. It was short (8km) but steep in places. Great for those who like endless switchbacks. After checking out the lake, we made camp at the campground about 3/4 km back the way we came. The campground was definitely in the best location and had awesome views, despite it being lower than the lake. There were no bear visitations and there were some additional campers from another group nearby.
