Lodging and Meals

Accomodation will be at 2 and 3 star hotels based on double/twin bedrooms. Please note that local living standards and services may differ from those in North America, often in positive ways.

Most hotels will be allowing us to store our bicycles indoors. Be sure to bring a lock just in case the bikes end up outside for a night or two. It is a good idea to bring a locking cable anyway for when we are at a tourist attraction or in a cafe.

Continental breakfast will be available at all hotels and is included in the tour price.

Lunches will be at each participant's own expense and is separate from the trip fee. Mid day meals can be very impromptu and could be in a road side field to an open air cafe. Another option could be to set up a "food kitty" once we are over there and have picnics in parks or fields on some days.

Dinners will be within walking distance from the hotel or we will use the van to get us there and back. French dining can take several hours while we savour numerous courses and wines.
